Sometimes when creating a new item, for example an article, you want to copy an existing article and just make adjustments. This is possible, but be aware that you can never paste into the search results.
If you use the Product Catalog search to find the item you want to copy, this is possible. But be aware that a search result is only a view and cannot be used to paste the copy into. This is how you would do it:
- Search for the item you want to copy
- In the search results, select the item and click Copy (the Paste button is always disabled in the search result view)
- Go to the place (for example the All articles folder) where you want to put your copy
- Click Paste
