With the release of Litium Studio 4.6 , there are a few changes to the system requirements for previous versions.

The most important changes are:
- no support for Microsoft SQL Server 2000, only 2005 and 2008
- no support for Internet Explorer 6 for back office administration
- .NET 3.5 instead of .NET 2.0

Production web server

Software requirements:

  • Microsoft Server 2003 SP1 or later (x64)
  • IIS 5.1, IIS 6 or IIS7 (Internet Information Server)
  • .NET Framework 3.5 running in full-trust
  • Possibility to communicate with a SMTP-server
  • A folder, upload-folder, with write permission for the anonymous ASP.NET user

Hardware requirements

  • Processor: recommended Intel Xeon Server processor (2 core, x64) 2.0+ GHz or equivalent
  • RAM: recommended 2 GB or more, 4-8 GB for larger solutions
  • Hard disk: recommended minimum 500 MB free space, very dependent on type and size of solution.

Production database server

Software requirements:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008
  • The collation of database and server must be case insensitive

Hardware requirements

  • Processor: recommended Intel Xeon Server processor (2 core, x64) 2.0+ GHz or equivalent
  • RAM: recommended 4 GB or more, 8-12 GB for larger solutions
  • Hard disk: recommended minimum 2 GB free space, very dependent on type and size of solution.

Client Requirements

Public site browsing

Litium Studio supports every major browser. However, the support depends how the presentation templates are constructed in the implementation project.

Back office administration

Level A support*

  • Internet Explorer 9.0 with Adobe Flash player
  • Firefox 7 or later (PC) with Adobe Flash player
  • Safari 5 (Mac) with Adobe Flash player

Level B support**

  • Internet Explorer 8.0 with Adobe Flash player
  • Internet Explorer 7.0 with Adobe Flash player
  • Firefox 5 (PC) with Adobe Flash player
  • Firefox 6 (PC) with Adobe Flash player
  • Chrome 16 or later (Mac) with Adobe Flash player

** Supported browsers without verification.
